Magnus Selander was born in Upplands Väsby in sweden. After graduating from Sigtuna Humanistiska Läroverk he studied music at Birkagårdens folkhögskola. He has a passion for Jazz music and plays the tenor saxophone. Then he worked at the Kulturhuset in stockholm and met fashion
Photographer Patrik Andersson who then was assisted by John Scarisbrick.
 
That meeting started a new direction in Magnus life and he now began to work as a assistant himself. After some years as a assistant and freelance assistant he started his own business in Stockholm  1991 and has been working as a photographer since then.

Magnus works regulary with stylists Sania Hedengren,Sussanna Zacke, Madeleine Röken, Anna Söderlund. Line Riseld Maria Nordin for magazines like Plaza interiör,Drömhem & Trädgård,Hus & Hem, Leva & Bo, Business Talk etc.
